| Re: UDF and InCD I'm just guessing but I think it is a flaw in the entire principle of this kind of packet writing software. They are suposed to make an rw disk like a big floppy disk. As soon as you insert an appropriately formated disk, it is accessable and useable, just like with a floppy or other removable media. The problem is, with an optical drive, the only way that you can do this is for the software to check every time the dirve does something to see if you inserted a disk formated for packet writing. Thats the only way it can auto load the disk like it does. Problem is that it's constant checking of the drive can interfere with other software using the dirve. I think it would be beter for the user to manually load the disk (not the physical disk, but enable the software to work with it). That kind of defeats the purpose of it being automatic though. It's therefor inherintlly flawed and cannot be fixed.
Thats just my guess based on what I have heard but I could be wrong. |
