OK going to get the 21 day free trial of copy DVD and do yet another test and just did the upgrade of 1 click...
Do you know what would cause the writer to just spit out blanks when using 8X+R instead of 4X+R's? The 4X+R worked beautifully! I even went and changed the copy speed to 4x and the -R came out all herky jerky again and the +R never would load.
Could it be the DVD player??? That it doesn't read 8X DVD's?
I bought both FUJIFILM 8X+R and SONY 8X+R but because of the other 8X+R aren't working at all I don't want to open them yet and have even more ocasters

At least the 8X-R's are copying albeit horibbly not at all at the end....but they get something on them.
The current settings (which I think are all default) are under the file system tab only ISO 9660 (MS DOS) and Joliet (long name and asian characters) are checked ... I didn't check them so I am thinking they are default? Should UDF 1.02, CGMS or ISO file version be checked instead? And what exactly are these things?
Under the writing device tab I changed the maximum writing speed from max to 4X and the only box checked is the Support HD-BURN. Should DVD-R SAO first also be checked? I couldn't find anything that says copy +R, and that DVD-R SAO thing is the only place I saw -R.
How do I find out if I should use +R or -R media?
