hi i'm new to dvd burning and am having some problems burning to dvd, no matter what i try to burn iso files, disc copies, standard file backup i get the same issue.
I have tried a number of burning software programs including nero v6 and every time it goes through the motions recognises the media type tells me the burn is complete only to discover i've burnt another coaster with a audio file on it.
Everything suggests the data is on the disk in terms of it tells me how much space has been used but the disk is otherwise visably empty apart from the 1 audio track. System specs are as follows

windows 98 se
btc X8 dvdrw drw1008IM
MEDIA DVD+R 1X-8X REC SPEED MITSUBISHI BLANK DISCS

Please anyboby got any ideas, as i've tried everthing i can think of.
