I have this same problem. I tried an FE/TE QScan of an MCC003 (Verbatim 8x DVD+R), and the QSuite locks up around 17-21 secs into the test, where "Overspeed" is enabled (I used the FE/TE test at "Normal (Default) sampling but running the simulation @ 12x). This lockup even prevents me from doing the 'end process' from the Task Manager, and the drive keeps spinning the DVD blank as if it's still testing (even after pressing 'stop' on the test, then trying to end the process--the QSuite 2.1 box appears to close, but it's still running in the Task Manager under "processes"). This lockup almost prevents one from restarting, too. It will eventually restart (after selecting "shut down>restart" in the Task Manager, but it takes about 3-4 minutes before it finally does restart.
