| Re: Affordable printer that can take cd's? Fry's in Houston had a special on the Epson R300 $49.99 with a $20 rebate.
Bought the printer, order 100 Ty's from Rima.com.
Software with the printer is great. Scanned old VCR holders, and printed. LIttle undersaturated, adjusted printer and output is great.
Only possible issue I have is ink life. Right now I have printed 6 DVD's with only a slight amount of ink used.
Printed onto Kodak paper, output was great. Looked on Epinions.com. Issue at thiis site is ink consumption. So far my DVD's have been great!!!!, still haven't made up my mind on ink consumption.
I have used Memorex labels in the past with no complaints. These labels were good, and I didn't notice much degradation with QS score after the label was applied. I know eventually this will be a problem that's why I bouth the Epson R300. So far so good. My only issue is that QS scans on TY inkjet printable disks are not as good as QS scores on regular TY disks (92 vs 97) on my BenQ 1620 and BenQ 1640.
