I was able to copy it with *JUST* AnyDVD 5.4.4.1 with no other ripping software involved. This was a region 1 disc. All I did was drag the video_ts folder to my hard drive and then used CloneDVD on that. Nothing special and no update to AnyDVD required in my case. I'm not sure why others are having such issues but for me it worked fine.
