It depends on what your needs are. I'm thinking about getting the LG 4165 because I need a good -R burner and the "first look" by Jan70 was impressive. In the past, LiteOns were better at burning +Rs. I'm curious to see how good the 1635s is going to be. But if you need a drive that's a good ripper and an excellent scanner, go with the LiteOn.
