Re: What exactly ARE BUP and IFO files, how to get rid of trailers built in to menus?

VOB Blanker is only difficult if you try to use the features that are esoteric. I use it for basic title removal.

I figure out which titles to remove using DVD Shrink. It's just easier that way. I make a note of which ones.

Then I fire up VOB Blanker. Now remember the disc is already ripped to a folder. So what I do is I load it in VOB Blanker, then I check "use input directory". Then I flip through the listed titlesets. What you want to focus on is the BOTTOM WINDOW. You'll see...

PGC #, TTN, T IN VMG

The third one (T IN VMG) is the actual title number. Now, things to remember.

1. If a particular titleset has no titles you're removing, mark it as skip (in the titleset window - the top one).
2. DO NOT try to process multi-angle or interleaved titles, unless you're removing the entire titleset.
3. Don't fiddle with the other settings. You're either marking titles as "blank", or marking titlesets as "process" or "skip". That's ALL. Beyond that you need a tutorial and some bravery.
4. When all the titles are marked, hit "process". On my machine (XP 3200+) it takes maybe 2 seconds to do the entire process. Maybe longer if I'm only banking partial titlesets and they're complex.

That's it. Pretty easy.
