| Re: Burning Dual Layer Discs I have received a lot of help from forums regarding burning dual-layer disks. I felt incumbent to add my two-pennyworth.
I know that DVD Decrypter is no longer available to download (although I am sure it can be made available(!) to those wishing for it.
Anyway, for starters, SVP Communications (in the UK) sell Ritek D/L discs for just over 24 quid for 10. This is very good buying. These are the ones I use (they are inkjet printable).
For copying (most) DVD's one only needs DVD Decrypter. That is to say, if you don't want to do fancy tricks with the movie, we are talking ISO/MDS here.
It is painfully simple, if you only want to copy the whole disc.
1) Place the DVD to be copied in the tray.
2) Click MODE and choose ISO-Read
3) Choose a file to place the ISO/MDS into
4) Click the (coloured) button that appears and wait...
5) When you get the 'Operation Successful!' take out the DVD
6) Place a new DVD into the tray.
7) Click MODE-Write
8) Select the file with the image ISO.MDS and choose which you want. (I am using Wind98SE and choose MDS)
9) Click the (coloured) button that appears and wait...
10) After processing, remove your disc.
I use Media Player Classic to preview my new disc, always a good thing to do, I feel.
Enjoy!
I hope this helps some others.
Kind regards,
Peter
