I was the first moderator of DVD Recording Hardware forum (which was renamed to DVD Recorder and DVD Burner later) but there was no NEC forum when I first moderated these so I don't have really any opinion about which thread should be located here or there. The product is considered to be of NEC and CDFreaks doesn't have as many fans for Pioneer drives. To me, it seems natural this thread resides in NEC forum. Even I don't visit the main DVD Burner forum often anymore. (I usually first visit LG forum, secret xxx forum, and a few other sub-DVD Burner forums, Lite-On, BenQ, Plextor, Samsung, NEC... Pioneer a little rarely and BTC almost never.) And it's the moderator's right and only the moderator's right to choose locations for threads even when some of the members don't completely agree (because it's impossible to moderate otherwise.) The fact that there are dedicated forums for some of the optical burner manufacturers itself is the root of this kind of disagreement. There are still thousands of posts on various forums about DVD burners and DVD blank media that hardly fit their current locations posted since 2001 or earlier but it takes too much time to adjst all of them when there are more important things at hand.
