I'm not sure if I could do it. My current patcher was the best way I could write such a program. Maybe I could improve it a bit further, but I don't think it would ever be possible to create a completely fool proof piece of software. Plus I'm absolutely bad when it comes to writing GUI applications and many people don't even now how to handle stuff on the commandline.
I'm currently writing some routines that try to find some more information in NEC firmwares and allow an easy way to change some values again. But progress is very slow at the moment (it's too warm here), so it will probably take quite some time to finish - if it will ever finish at all.
